I saw that :devaoki-Wolf: asked a very good question on our page, and it has yet to be answered. Hopefully posting it as a journal will help get more attention to it.
Hello, everyone. A little legal question about fur possession here.
I was wondering if anyone knew the fur laws in Chile, South America?
I´ll be moving from Texas to Chile this upcoming month, and I was wondering if I´ll be able to take my various foxes, coyotes, and raccoons there with me or if I´ll have to leave them at home.
That and when I get there, I´m interested in buying more pelts, of course.
Any help or information is very much appreciated!!

A Proposal
Hello there, all!
So, have you heard of the 20% project? Usually it takes place in the work force. A worker is asked to commit 20% of their time (usually one work day) to their own personal project, provided that it benefits the company in some way. In my Lang class, we're doing just that, only it's to benefit the community.
I decided, for several reasons, that I wanted to write a book based on taxidermy and veterinary related sciences. One of the things I want to do is include photographs of different pelts, bones, structures, etc. I'm even working towards getting a cat from a biological lab and doing a step-by-step dissection and displayi
Skinning advice
Hello everybody..
I get a lot of Questions about skinning a bird...
Are there any people interested in a bird skinning tutorial?
Maybe for study skins or for mounting?
Let me know, if there are enough people, I'll make one :)
Questions (please look, especially taxidermists!)
Noticed a couple of questions that haven't been answered on the front page, wanted to make a journal for them to get an answer (hopefully!):
From ~Fencingfool4 (https://www.deviantart.com/fencingfool4)
"Hi, me again. This page isn't very active, but I don't really need an immediate answer, but how does one measure a rabbit for buying a form? I have a whole small-medium size rabbit, gift from a lovely cats, frozen in my freezer. And how do you measure eyes? I can't find much online about it."
From :icondemonlord261:
"I am looking for someone really familiar with Jonas Brothers taxidermy (seattle), I have a couple of questions about a mysterious wolf mount I acquired"

Gallery Submissions Fixed
Gallery folders should be fixed now, so you can submit to more than just the "Featured" folder. All of the recent submissions I sent a request to for the correct folder, but from now on if anyone submits to the wrong folder I will deny/delete your request without comment, and will not send you a request for the correct folder. Things are fixed, and I trust you all can submit to the correct folders. If you have any questions about submissions, you may ask at any time! And if your request gets denied due to it being submitted to the wrong folder you may re-submit to a different folder. I apologize for the problems we had before, but now everyth

Couldn't find any sort of a government agency, but a local university has an education abroad program focusing on wildlife issues in Chile; someone there might be able to help find local resources: [link]
Also, this has more to do with agriculture and import/export in Chile, but some of the agencies at the bottom of the document may be able to help: [link] - the Chilean Agriculture and Livestock Service seems to be the closest thing to a wildlife organization I can find.
Also, a study worth noting: [link]
